November 2: Ask, Seek, Knock

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 7

What do you need? Your Father will give it to you. He is waiting for you to ask. Not for you to worry, but for you to ask. Ask Him today!

October 27: Seeking God’s rewards

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Are we seeking His rewards? He wants to bless us!

The blessng of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Proverbs 10:22

Are we seeking His blessing – or are we seeking our own rewards? The key is to re-orient our desires to His desires.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37:4

Oftentimes we wonder why God didn’t let so-and-so fall in love with us, only for us to realize God had a better plan for us, and once we let Him give us new desires, we were fulfilled greater than we could imagine!

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:21

Believe in Him (not just intellectual assent, but a belief that motivates action!) Let’s ask for help to believe, and to align our desires with His!
